Family- always a challenge, I have to dig from my deepest self-love well to release past perspective.
We all change and sometimes, when we get back together with family, they still see us through the lens of the past...and perhaps we do the same...especially with family that is disconnected and scattered. No matter- as long as we can hold on to ourselves that is all that matters- how we see ourselves.
I feel tremendously grateful and appreciative as this year draws to an end. I have created far more than I could have dreamed, with my art, my music and my friendships. Creativity is such a process- one that is best, simply, trusted. Not every day or work of art will be a masterpiece- but if you trust the process, you know that the ebbs and flow are all an essential part of the canvas.
I have sold so many works of art this month- on the tail of what seemed to be an endless dry spell. I truly believe that when things seem to be still, the opposite is true. Our creative spirit is simply gestating. So enjoy the dry spells too. You can't force creativity- it just has to flow when it's ready!
Here's to an abundant new year full of flow! Stay creative. Try something different. Let down the walls. Believe in yourself. Take time, make time- to putter. Release resistance. Breath.
